Terms of Service

Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Journee ("we", "our", or "us") governing your access to and use of the Journee voice journaling application ("Journee" or the "App").

By accessing or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the App.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. If we make changes, we will provide notice by posting the updated Terms on the App and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

1. Your Content

You own all content you create using Journee. We process your voice data for transcription but do not store it permanently.

The App allows you to create, upload, and store voice recordings and other content ("User Content"). You retain all rights in your User Content, and you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, store, and process your User Content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the App.

You are solely responsible for your User Content and the consequences of posting or publishing it. By uploading User Content, you represent and warrant that:

  • You own or have the necessary rights to use and authorize us to use your User Content
  • Your User Content does not violate the rights of any third party, including intellectual property rights and privacy rights
  • Your User Content complies with these Terms and all applicable laws and regulations

2. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Journee only for lawful purposes. Prohibited actions include:

  • Sharing your account credentials
  • Attempting to access unauthorized areas of the app
  • Interfering with app security or performance
  • In any way that violates any applicable law or regulation
  • To transmit any material that is harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable
  • To impersonate or attempt to impersonate Journee, a Journee employee, or another user
  • To engage in any conduct that restricts or inhibits anyone's use or enjoyment of the App
  • To use the App in any manner that could disable, overburden, damage, or impair the App

3. Beta Testing

During our beta period, the service is free. We may terminate beta access at any time.

Beta features may be unstable or incomplete. We appreciate your feedback during this phase to help us improve the App.

4. Future Subscription Plans

After beta, Journee will be a paid service. We'll notify you of pricing and terms before launching subscriptions.

5. Termination

We may terminate your access to Journee for violation of these Terms or for any other reason.

Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease. All provisions of these Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability.

6. Account Registration

To use certain features of the App, you may need to register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete.

You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

7. Intellectual Property Rights

The App and its entire contents, features, and functionality (including but not limited to all information, software, text, displays, images, and audio) are owned by Journee or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

These Terms do not grant you any right, title, or interest in the App or its content other than the limited right to use the App in accordance with these Terms.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL JOURNEE OR ITS AFFILIATES, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE APP.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state of California, without giving effect to any principles of conflicts of law.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms. Continued use of Journee after changes constitutes acceptance.
